Nathaniel Warren Hanson, 29, of Fargo, ND went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 3, 2023 at Sanford Fargo Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
Nathan was born April 28, 1994 in Fargo, ND to Warren D. and Mary Louise Hanson. Nathan was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fargo on June 13th, 1994. Nathan accepted Jesus as his personal savior at an early age. Nathan began his medical struggles at age 5 with the discovery of a brain tumor, operation and treatment. Despite this hardship, Nathan continued to be a creative, kind, loving child that did not complain about his persistent head pain. Nathan worked through his health issues to graduate with honors from Davies High School in 2013. Nathan’s interests included drawing, creating artwork, writing short stories, listening to music, singing in his high school choir and spending time with family.
One of Nathan’s favorite places to be was on the farm with Grandma Mary Lou Hejl. Together they spent many happy hours trying new recipes, watching old movies, and working in her flower gardens. After the reoccurrence of a terminal tumor in the summer of 2022, Nathan courageously decided not to pursue treatment and continue to do the things in life he enjoyed.
Nathan is survived by his father, Warren and brother, Ben both of Fargo; Grandmother Mary Lou Hejl of Casselton, ND; uncles Ken (Cindy) Hejl of Arthur, ND, William A. Hejl of Amenia ND, Norm (Lisa) Hanson of Williston, ND, Ger (Denise) Hanson of Waconia, MN and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Louise Hanson, grandfather William G. Hejl, grandparents Erwin & Evelyn Hanson, Aunt Gwen Hejl and an infant brother.
