Muriel Aljoe

   Muriel Aljoe, 76, of Fargo, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2024, at Bethany on 42nd in Fargo.

   Muriel Ione Rieck was born on July 28, 1948, in Fargo, ND, to Reinhold and Blanche (Lostegaard) Rieck. She grew up on a farm south of Casselton, ND, and graduated from Central Cass High School in Casselton.

   On January 15, 1977, she married Duane Aljoe. She was self-employed and cleaned houses and businesses before retirement. Duane and Muriel adopted three sisters, Eileen, Vicki and Mary. They lived in Lake Park, Renville and Atwater, MN before returning to Fargo in March of 2013. Muriel entered Bethany on 42nd in November 2021.

   She enjoyed traveling, square dancing and the family dogs and cats.

   Muriel is survived by her three daughters; grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and friends.

   She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Joann Rieck; and brothers, Bernell Rieck and Larry Rieck.

   Visitation & Time of Fellowship: Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 11:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m., in West Funeral Home, Casselton, ND.

   Graveside Service: Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., in Elm River Cemetery, Galesburg, ND.
