Mildred Krueger

Mildred Krueger, 93, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at her home in West Fargo surrounded by her family. 

Millie was born on August 19, 1927, in Aneta, ND to Olaf and Mabel (Groseth) Smaaladen.  She married Richard Krueger on March 8, 1947, at St Anthony’s Catholic Church in Fargo.  They were married 61 years until Richard’s death in 2008. 

Millie had an excellent work ethic and enjoyed working throughout her life.  She loved spending time with family, friends, fishing traveling, cooking and completing many house projects with Richard. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Richard; brothers:  Orphy,  Idean, LuVerne and Earl Smaaladen;  sisters:  Eunice Riegel and Dolores King.

Millie is survived by her daughter: Vicki Vance of West Fargo; granddaughter, Jodi Vance of West Fargo  Troy and Jerzi Goltz of  Davenport, ND; sister:  Mavis Durensky of Barnsville, MN; her beloved parrot:  Calypso; many special nieces and nephews.

Funeral:  10 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at West Funeral Home in West Fargo. 

Visitation:  An hour before the funeral. 

Burial: St. Leo’s Catholic Cemetery in Casselton. 

Covid-19 guidelines will be followed and masks are required.
