Michelle Lee Anton, 52, West Fargo, ND, passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2025, at the VA hospital in Fargo.
Michelle was born on July 27, 1972, in Rolla, ND to Pamela Lagasse and Gerald Anton. She graduated from Rolla High School in 1990. Upon graduation, Michelle followed in her father’s footsteps and joined the US Air Force. She was stationed in Georgia and continued to live there for a number of years after she was discharged. She eventually returned to Rolla and settled back into her ND roots. In 2015, she moved to Fargo, joined by her life partner. They have navigated her partner David's cancer journey together for the past two years.
Michelle held various jobs throughout her life, most recently at the 13th Ave Hardee's. She enjoyed her colleagues and was known for training others and readily picking up shifts. Despite using a cane and dealing with significant back pain, she would only request a ride to work during extreme weather conditions.
Michelle was an eccentric spirit with a deep appreciation for Native American culture. Her imagination often transported her to mystical realms through the pages of fantasy novels. Online, she cultivated a close-knit group of friends, which she considered family. Her distinctive laugh was infectious, drawing others in. She possessed a mischievous streak, known for a good-natured scare during a power outage.
Michelle is survived by her parents, Pamela Lagasse (Rolla), Gerald (Cora) Anton (Grand Forks); siblings, Donald Anton (Grand Forks), Diana (Anthony) Kuznia (Buffalo), Christina McNeal (West Fargo), Holly (Shannon) Oakland (West Fargo); step-brothers Gary Manalili, and Gerald (Michelle) Anton Jr.; life partner, David Talevich; nieces and nephews, Don Jr, Cheyenne, Steve, Jonas, Emma, Ethan, Sophia, Colby, Gretchen, Lennon, William, Warren, Cora; and great nieces and nephews.
