Michael Starr

   Michael “Mikey” L. Starr, 45, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025 in Cooperstown, ND.

   Michael was born June 20, 1979 in Minot, ND to his parents Michael B. and Pam (Kling) Starr.  Michael graduated from Bismarck High School in 1997.  He worked for Play it again Sports, Bismarck Title Company, and most recently ASME as a Business Systems Analyst.  Michael loved the outdoors: camping, golfing, bowling, softball, and darts; but most of all he never missed a Minnesota Vikings or Twins game or a concert.

   Michael is survived by his children: Austin (Adrionna) Riedinger and Sophia Starr (Sophia’s mother JoJo Jangula), parents: Michael (Susan) Starr and Pam Fiest, brothers: Brian (Elaine) Berkowitz, Marcus (Megan) Starr, and Miles (Allie) Starr, grandchildren: Lucas and Henry Riedinger.  Other survivors include his special friend Lynne Olien along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

   The family asks that for the open house people wear Vikings, twins, or Hawaiian Shirts.

In lieu of flowers please give a donation to Michael’s children.

Open House/Celebration of Life: Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo.

                                        Starting around 2:30 PM the family will move to the chapel for sharing of stories about Michael.
