Marylin Nelson

   Marylin Nelson, 78, of Horace, ND, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, in her home, surrounded by family.

   Marylin Marlene Sayler was born July 19, 1946, in Bismarck, ND, to Orlen and Florence (Aldinger) Sayler. She grew up on a farm near Falkirk, ND and graduated from Washburn, ND high school. She then attended nursing school at Bismarck.

   On December 16, 1966, she married Cavlin Nelson at Washburn. Together they had four children; Mary, Beth, Joel, and Ward. They lived various places in North Dakota and had lived in the Fargo-Moorhead area since 1987.

   She worked for WW Wallwork, ADP, and Nelson International.

   She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafting, arranging music, and playing the accordion.

   Marylin is survived by four children, Mary (Mark) Tuttle, Beth (Mike) Nelson, Joel (Tammy) Nelson, Ward (Janet) Nelson; 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; four brothers, one sister, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

   She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin; her parents; and a grandson, Brandon.

   Memorial Service: Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., in West Funeral Home, West Fargo, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
