Mary Ann Johnson

Mary Ann Johnson was born February 11, 1946, in Bismarck, ND to Theodore and Magdalena (Mittleider) Miller. She grew up in Fargo, ND, where she also attended school and later would meet and marry Wayne Johnson, on June 5, 1964. After their marriage the couple made their home in Fargo until 1979, when they moved to Sioux Falls, SD. They resided here until Wayne’s death in 2004.  Following this time, Mary moved back to Fargo where she would reside until her passing.

Mary loved spending time with family and loved going to family reunions and camping.

She is survived by her children, Wayne Johnson (Fargo, ND), Christy Person (Scott) (Oacoma, SD); son-in-law, Jay Jacobs (Sioux Falls, SD); grandchildren, Nichole Herman (Josh), Cody Jensen (Nichole), Amanda Kriens (Mark), Meshaya Tripp (Adam), Mike Person, and Shelby Haber (Paul). Mary is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Kade, Ella, Maggie, Nora, Twila, Archer, Nolan, and Mason; her siblings, Delores, Raymond, Marvin, LaVonne, Betty, Melvin, and Ada.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Wayne; daughter, Wanda; her parents, Theodore and Magdalena; siblings, Elaine, Irene, Dorthy, Arla, Duane, Harold, and Ernie.

A service to remember and celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 10:00am at West Funeral Home in West Fargo, ND. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will take place at Miller Cemetery of rural Streeter and Napoleon, ND.
