Marlys (Chalmers) Carlson

Marlys Carlson, 76, West Fargo, ND died on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020 at Eventide of Fargo.

Marlys Joyce Chalmers was born Aug. 15, 1943 at Cooperstown, ND to Charles and Ruby Chalmers. She graduated from Aneta (ND) High School. Marlys married Ervin Carlson on May 4, 1968 in Finley, ND.  They made their home in Northwood, ND and St. Paul, MN before moving to Fargo. She worked in housekeeping at area hotels.

Marlys enjoyed playing bingo, trips to the casino and especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren.

Marlys is survived by a son, David Carlson of West Fargo; daughter, Tammy Azure of West Fargo; 3 grandchildren, Brandon, Zachary and Shyanne Azure; and a sister, Karen Bullet.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin; three brothers, Leroy, Gerald and Dennis and a sister, Charlene.

Funeral: Friday, Feb. 7, 2020 at 2 PM at West Funeral Home Chapel with visitation one hour prior.

Final Resting Place:  Sheyenne Valley Cemetery, Finley, ND.
