Mark Kleingartner

Mark Kleingartner, 53, of Fargo, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.  

Mark Edward Kleingartner was born January7, 1973, in Fargo, the son of Alan and Norma (Nelson) Kleingartner. He was raised and educated in Fargo, graduating from Fargo North High School in 1991.  Mark was employed as a handyman on various jobs.  He worked for Sprint for a time and as a supervisor of a cleaning company in Florida.  Mark lived in Florida, Rochester, MN and Fargo. 

In high school, he played baseball, participated in track, football and basketball.  Later years, Mark enjoyed being outdoors jet skiing, swimming and boating.  Above all, his daughter, Syndey and dog, Zion were the lights of his life. 

Surviving is daughter:  Sydney Kleingartner; step-son:  Alex (Katie) Vagle and their daughter: Shay & step-son: Austin Vagle; parents:  Alan & Norma Kleingartner;  brother:  Mike Kleingartner and his family, Brooklyn, Braden and Abby;  sister: Michele (Jeff) Bradley and their family Matthew and Madison; special friend:  Donna Hammond;  aunt:  Mary Lou Levin; uncles:  Ed Kleingartner & Bob Nelson, and a very special dog:  Zion. 

Memorial Service:   Saturday, January 24, 2026, 2 pm at West Funeral Home in West Fargo. 

Visitation:  An hour before the service.
