Mark King, 62, Minneapolis, MN died on Monday, Aug. 23, 2021 at his home.
Mark Luverne King was born on May 23, 1959 in Fargo, ND to Robert and Dolores (Schafer) King. He grew up in Casselton, ND and graduated from high school there. He completed his college education at UND in Grand Forks, ND.
From a young age, Mark was a great friend to many. He always supported the underdog and was typically the life of the party. He enjoyed traveling, was witty and quite the storyteller. He had a great love for animals and gardening. Mark was also an artist, enjoyed playing the piano and was very creative. He spent much of his life in Minneapolis where he remodeled his home and worked many years as an analyst for US Bank. Over the last years, Mark developed several health issues due to a spinal cord injury. His doctor called him “spirited” yet family and friends would maybe call him… stubborn!
Most of all, Mark was a good man and a great friend! He will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by siblings, Robert (Helen), Brooklyn Park, MN, Stephen, Casselton and Eileen King, Casselton; nieces and nephews, Jason King, Amy King, Eric King and Kara Ihry; and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mike; nephew, Christopher King; great niece, Michaela King.
