Marjorie Schlauch

Marjorie Schlauch, 86, of Christine North Dakota peacefully passed away on July 8th, 2026 at Essentia Health, North Dakota.

Marjorie Hottman was born to David and Maria (Kapp) Hottman on October 1, 1939 in Napoleon, North Dakota. She grew up in Napoleon for the first five years of her life, and then the family moved to Edgeley, North Dakota.

On June 28, 1968 Marge married Melvin Schlauch. They moved to West Fargo for a short period of time, then relocated to Christine, North Dakota. They had two children Curtis and Lanette, which completed their family. Melvin passed away on July 16, 1984.

Marge lived her life as a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, puzzles, embroidering, riding on the golf cart and playing card games with family. She was also a part of the ladies aid and the church board at Christine Lutheran Church.

Marge is survived by her children, Curtis Schlauch (special friend, Peggy Anderson) and Lanette (Spencer) Nord; sister, Dieana Hottman; half-brothers: Kevin, Gary and Donavon Dallmann; sister-in-law: Margaret (Jerome) Fischer; granddaughters, Brooke, Madison and Chloe Nord; step-grandson: Brandon (Danielle) Becker; and great-grandson, Brandsyn Becker; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband: Melvin; parents, David and Maria Hottman; two brothers, Virgil Kapp and David Hottman; half-sister: Eldina Dallmann; half-brother: Larry Dallmann; and brother-in-law, Jordan Schlauch.

Funeral: Friday July 17, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo with visitation one hour prior.

Burial: Christine Cemetery
