Madonna Marie DesRoches 94, Fargo, ND died peacefully on June 5th at SMP Health - St Catherine South under the care of Hospice.
Madonna was born on April 12, 1932, in Oklee, Minnesota, the daughter of Joseph and Emma (Bachand) Hince. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Faith and attended Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls, MN and Mount St. Benedict High School in Crookston, MN.
Madonna was employed in a grocery store in Red Lake Falls, MN for 10 years prior to her marriage to Bernard DesRoches.
Bernard and Madonna were united in Marriage October 1, 1960, at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN. God richly blessed their marriage with 5 children. The couple resided locally at Reile's Acres, ND for 49 years. In 2021, they moved to Independent Living at Riverview Place in Fargo.
She was fortunate to be full time home maker and parent. This also allowed Madonna time to enjoy her passion of gardening and canning. She was an excellent cook and baker. Neighbors would always ask if she had any homemade donuts. She had 2 poodles over the years to keep her company and follow her around, ironically, they were both named Cuddles. After the kids were raised and Bernard retired, they started taking winter vacations to Phoenix, AZ, where their eldest son's family resided. She was always anxious to get in the pool no matter how cold the water was.
