Lonnie Halvorson

Lonnie Wayne Halvorson, 66, passed away unexpectedly at his home in West Fargo, North Dakota, on August 24, 2026. 

Lonnie was born on November 7, 1959, to Lloyd and Doreen Halvorson. He grew up in West Fargo and graduated from West Fargo High School with the class of 1978. 

In 1985, Lonnie married Pam, and together they welcomed their daughter, Heather. The family resided in Lake Park, Minnesota, where Lonnie spent several years working at Country Furniture. Lonnie later relocated back to West Fargo, ND. For the past 13 years, Lonnie was a dedicated and familiar face at Sandy’s Donuts, where he thoroughly enjoyed his work delivering donuts. 

In his earlier years, Lonnie loved being active outdoors, spending his time camping, fishing, and snowmobiling. More recently, he enjoyed a more low-key lifestyle. He was an avid sports fan who rarely missed a game, eagerly cheering on the Las Vegas Raiders, NDSU Bison, and many others. Above all, Lonnie loved staying connected with his daughter and grandchildren in Wyoming, always looking forward to regular updates, phones calls, video chats, pictures, etc. 

Lonnie is survived by his daughter, Heather (Travis) Warner of Douglas, Wyoming; his grandchildren, Tatum, Bridger, and Harper Warner; his sisters, Lisa (John) Hoefs and Linda Hayden of Mesa, Arizona; four nephews; and many cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Doreen Halvorson; his brother, Lee Halvorson; grandparents aunts, uncles, cousins and his former wife, Pam Anderson. 

Celebration of Life:  Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Silver Dollar Bar & Grill (221 Center St W, West Fargo, ND). 

Burial:  A private family burial will take place on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the Maple Sheyenne Lutheran Cemetery in Harwood, North Dakota.
