It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lindsey LaRae Runck, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who left us too soon on March 2nd, 2025. Lindsey was born on December 12th, 1983, to David and Margie English. She grew up in the Casselton, ND area graduating from Central Cass High School in 2002, embarking on a journey that would be filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
On July 13th, 2007, Lindsey married the love of her life, Derek Runck. Together, they built a beautiful family, welcoming Brodie (18) and Stella (12), who were the center of her universe. Lindsey’s love for her children was boundless, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and guiding them with warmth and affection. She always encouraged her kids to have no fear and to chase their dreams.
Lindsey had a deep passion for spending time with her family and travel. She looked forward to lake season, enjoying pontoon rides and creating lasting memories at “Sandy Beach” with friends and loved ones. Christmas was also a special time of year for her, filled with joy, laughter, and time with family. Besides her birthday, Christmas Eve and spending it with Dad, Mom and John, was her favorite day of the year. She also found solace and happiness at her and Derek’s condo in St. Pete Beach, FL, where the gentle waves of the Gulf beaches provided a perfect backdrop for friends and family gatherings and relaxation. She had a deep love of travel whether to Florida, Mexico, the Caribbean, or the many other locations she explored, she was always eager to get there and eager to go on the next adventure.
Lindsey is survived by her devoted husband, Derek; her loving son, Brodie; and her adoring daughter, Stella. She is also survived by her parents, David and Margie English; her brother, John (Samantha) English; and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Lindsey’s spirit, kindness, and love will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew her. Rest in peace, dear Lindsey. Your love and light will continue to shine through your family and friends.
