Lee Pfingsten, age 81, of West Fargo, ND, died Thursday, April 15, 2021 at New Perspectives, West Fargo, ND.
Lee Ellis Pfingsten was born October 15, 1939, at Fargo, ND, the son of Gottlieb and Elsie (Dewerff) Pfingsten. He grew up at Chaffee, ND and graduated from Mapleton ND High in 1957.
Lee enlisted in the North Dakota Army National Guard in March of 1958 and served with the Guard for the next 30 years.
On May 2, 1959, Lee was united in marriage to Patricia Alena O’Marro in Casselton, ND. They lived at Walcott, ND until 2008 when they moved to West Fargo.
Lee began working for the United States Post Office, West Fargo as a mail carrier in 1959, and retired in 1995.
His family remembers Lee as a hard-working man. He raised horses with Pat for many years and was a member of the RRV Horse Breeders Assoc., Wolverton Saddle Club and FM Posse. He enjoyed working on old tractors and repairing saddles and other leather items. He was a cowboy at heart. Lee and Pat had opened their home to Foster Care for over 30 years.
He is survived by six children, Jeffrey (Peggy) of Fargo, Michele (Terry) Cox of Georgetown, MN, Daniel (Kristi) of Moorhead, MN, Todd (Kathleen) of West Fargo, Tamara (Scott) Ault of Reynolds, ND and John (Nicki) of Walcott; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and three sisters, Arlene Hoglund, Bismarck, ND, Ardis Brokaw, Seattle, WA, and Mary Ellen Akason, Fargo.
Lee was preceded in death by his wife Pat, his parents and two sisters, Linda Pfingsten and Mavis Scanlon.

Funeral: 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in West Funeral Home Chapel
Burial: Casselton Cemetery, Casselton, ND, with Military Honors
