LeAnn Rae Moos passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Wednesday morning, January 24th, 2024. She was born March 16th, 1976, in Fargo, ND to David and Joy Stumbo. She graduated from Ulen-Hitterdal High School and continued her education at NDSU and University of Mary where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources.
LeAnn married Eric Moos on December 3rd, 2011, in Jamestown, ND. They settled in Fargo, and welcomed a son, Zachary, on August 26th, 2013.
Her career included working in advertising, banking and, most recently, she was the Human Resources Manager at Solutions Behavioral Healthcare Professionals. She previously served as president of the local Human Resources Association. She also had her own party planning business, which showcased her creative talent.
LeAnn had a very caring personality and would help anyone in need. She supported numerous local charities and nonprofit organizations, volunteered at Zach’s school, helped with neighborhood grad parties, and planned many family gatherings with meticulous detail. She also had a general love of music and was often known to quote music lyrics or burst into song.
Eric, LeAnn and Zach lived in a wonderful neighborhood with great friends. There were driveway drinks and numerous garage sales. LeAnn had an entrepreneurial spirit, especially for things that brought people together. LeAnn loved to travel, spend time with her parents at their lake home in Minnesota and in Lake Havasu, Arizona, and especially loved traveling with Eric and Zach on cruises and other adventures. She loved crab legs, crafting, concerts, beaches, traveling, and community. She was an amazing mother and used her party planning skills to throw “over the top” birthday parties for Zachary. Mostly, though, LeAnn just loved life and being with her people.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Eric, son Zachary, parents David and Joy Stumbo, sister Wendy (Mike) Ring, brother Michael, Grandmother Kathryn Nelson, Father-in-Law Gene Moos, Niece Madison (Trevor) Haugo, Nephew Nicholas Ring, and her best friend and chosen sister, Holly Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her infant sister Erin, Aunt Joyce Nelson, grandparents Orlyn Nelson, Donald and Lorraine Stumbo, Clarence and Emma Moos, mother-in-law Barb Moos, Cousin Dawn Nichols, and numerous great aunts and uncles.
In lieu of thank you notes, the family has chosen to make a donation to charity on Giving Hearts Day. LeAnn had specifically mentioned donating on Giving Hearts Day this year, so we are honoring her in this way and ask that you consider doing the same.
Service: Friday, February 2, 2024, at 11 AM at Hope Lutheran Church South Campus 3636 25th St S Fargo ND with visitation one hour before the service.
