Laura L. Bruesch, 73, of Amenia, ND, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, in her home surrounded by family, under the care of Ethos Hospice.
Laura Lynn Hagemeister was born on April 9, 1952, in Fargo, ND, to Junior and Lillie Ann (Akason) Hagemeister. She was raised in Mapleton, ND, where she graduated from Mapleton High School.
On August 29, 1970, she married Kim Bruesch in Mapleton Presbyterian Church, Mapleton, ND. They moved to a farm near Amenia, ND, in 1973, and have resided there ever since. Laura worked for Scherling Photography and Northwest Professional Color. She retired from Northwest in 2014.
Laura spent most weekends at Rush Lake at the tent-n-trailer park, helping and working at the campground next to her parents and brother.
She enjoyed crocheting baby blankets for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, bowling, gardening, and playing cards.
Laura is survived by her husband, Kim Bruesch; children, Wesley (Colleen) Bruesch, and Tracey Sherman; grandchildren, Szaun (Alaina) Bruesch, Samantha Bruesch, Anakin Bruesch, Ryker Bruesch, Shelby Sherman, and Sydney Sherman; great-grandchildren, Sway, Mikayla, Paisley, and Finley; and two brothers, Garland Hagemeister and Daniel Hagemeister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Junior & Lil Hagemeister, and sister, Karen Hagemeister.
Laura’s family would like to thank Ellie, Deb, and Pastor Alex at Ethos Hospice for their exceptional care.
Service: Friday, January 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., in West Funeral Home, Casselton, North Dakota, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Interment: Mapleton Cemetery, Mapleton, ND, at a later date.
