LaDon Roesler, 87, Fargo, ND died on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Bethany on University in Fargo.
LaDon “LD” Roesler was born Aug. 30, 1934 at Leonard, ND to Orville and Irene (Suedel) Roesler. He grew up on the family farm and attended school. At a young age he moved to Fargo where he worked as a bell hop at the FM Hotel. He worked his way up to managing the bar and depot club at the hotel. He later worked as the bar manager at the Oak Manor, Grainery at West Acres and Barn Stormer at the Hector Airport. Following this, he worked for the ND State Highway Department for a short time before working with his brother Rick on the family farm. LD suffered a stroke which changed his life eventually moving into the Good Samaritan Society in Fargo in 2019 and recently to Bethany on University.
He was an active member of the Leonard Lions Club which he enjoyed driving the kids train during the Leonard Fall Festival. For many years, LD was active in the El Zagal Shrine in Fargo and attended many conventions. He also loved to hunt and fish.
LD is survived by three siblings, Ruby (Orville) Ellwein of Yuma, AZ, Edward (Jeanette) Roesler of Fargo, ND, Dennis “Rick” (Deb) Roesler of Leonard; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Phyllis Taylor.
Service: Friday, April 22, 2022 at 7 PM at West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo, ND with visitation one hour prior.
Burial: Bethel Moravian Cemetery, rural Leonard at a later date.
