Kristopher A. Burke, 44 of Fargo, ND, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Kristopher "Kris" Allen Burke was born on June 8th, 1976 in Fargo, ND to Emmy Burke and Earl Sorby. Kris grew up in Fargo and graduated with his GED in 1993 from Prairie Learning Center in Raleigh, ND.
Kristopher was united in marriage to Danielle Lillie LaRue on May 8th, 2005 in Fargo, ND where they resided and later had two sons, Michael and Ashton.
Throughout the years Kris was self-employed, recycling pallets.
Kris loved the outdoors, especially enjoying his summers at the lakes with his family and friends. He also enjoyed spending quality time with his family and children. Kristopher was always the life of the party and always had a way of making people laugh. Most of all, he will be remembered by his love and caring nature, his willingness to help anyone in their time of need, and last but not least his sarcasm and witty one-liners.
He is survived by his mother Emmy Burke (Fargo), his wife Danielle Burke and two sons Michael and Ashton Burke (Fargo), a brother Eric (Lori) Sorby (Fargo), sister Rona Sorby (Moorhead), sister Amanda Burke (Fargo), four nieces, LaKeshia, Mariah, Emma and Brooklyn, and four nephews, Alex, Michael, Blake and Aksel, as well as, a very special friend Charity Teegarden and her two daughters Makayla and Caylin Teegarden (Fargo), along with many life-long friends he cherished and held dear to his heart.
Kristopher was preceded in death by his father Earl Sorby (Fargo), his grandparents Elmer and Crystal Dewerff (Casselton), two uncles Stan (June) Dewerff (Moorhead) and Curtis Dewerff (SD).
We would like to give a special thank you to the doctors and nurses that took care of Kris in his final days in the Critical Care Unit at Sanford Medical Center of Fargo
Visitation: Friday, March 12, 2021 from 5 PM until 6 PM at the Lighthouse Church in Fargo 21 9th St. So. Fargo, ND 58103
Prayer service: Friday March 12, 2021 at 6 PM at the Lighthouse Church in Fargo
Burial: Saturday June 5, 2021 at the Casselton Cemetery (the time will be determined at a later date).
Following the prayer service, we invite everyone to gather downstairs to visit with family. Food and refreshments will be provided.
