Kim Alexis Buchholz, 59, Fargo, died January 5, 2020.
Kim was born on December 16, 1960 in Grand Forks, ND, to Gordon and Margaret Mary (Butler) Kroeber. She graduated from Grand Forks Central High School and then from the University of North Dakota, majoring in Elementary Education.
Kim married Tom Buchholz on May 5, 1990 and moved to Fargo where they raised three children Scott, Katie, and Jay. Kim was a loving wife and a stay at home mom for 16 years. Kim’s artistic talent was noticed by many allowing her to draw for various types of projects. She was very athletic and played high school track, UND woman’s basketball, and on the Fargo VFW woman’s softball team for 16 years. As her children grew she started working part time at Stop N Go, then worked at Dakota Monument. Kim proudly watched her children play hockey and loved all her furry animals especially her bunnies.
Kim is survived by her husband, Tom; her children Scott, Katie and Jay; her sisters, Kerry Ann (Bill) Marti, Pat (Jerry) Palczewski; her brothers, Ross (Sandi) Kroeber, and Scott (Libby) Kroeber. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Margret Mary Kroeber; sister, Deb Emerson; and infant brother, Kent.
Visitation: 5- 7 pm Thursday, January 9, 2020, with a Prayer Service held at 7 pm, all at West Funeral Home, West Fargo
Funeral Service: 2:30 pm Friday, January 10, 2020, in St. Leo's Catholic Church, Casselton, ND
Burial: St. Leo's Catholic Cemetery, Casselton
