Katharine Gorman

Katharine Gorman, age 76, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, May 25, 2022, in Essentia Health, Fargo.

Katharine Marie Gorman was born October 14, 1945, at Trinity Hospital in Jamestown, ND.   She was the first of ten children born to John and Clarice (Carlson) Gorman.  Katharine grew up on the family farm rural Adrian, ND.   She attended school at Nortonville Public and graduated from high school there.  She moved to Fargo and began working as a nursing assistant at Golden Acres Haven in north Fargo.  She later began a lengthy career at Elim Nursing Home, Fargo, and during that time she became a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).  She finished out her working years with Home Instead Senior Care.

Katharine enjoyed dining out with her singles group, crocheting afghans,  and making Christmas ornaments using plastic canvas and bead work.

She is survived by her siblings, Lucy (John) Olson, Fargo, Margery (Bill) Sneyd, Arizona City, AZ, Genevieve Jerke, Madison, MN, Lawrence “Gus” Gorman, Jamestown, ND, Leslie Gorman, Nortonville, ND, Fern (Larry) Schauer, Ashley, ND, Bernard Gorman, Nortonville, ND, Sylvia (Mark) Bosch, Kulm, ND; and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Katharine was preceded in death by her parents, John and Clarice Gorman, her brother Carl Gorman, brother-in-law Al Jerke, sister-in-law Dynae Gorman, and nephew Matthew Bosch.

Visitation:  5 – 7 pm Wednesday, June 1, 2022, with a Prayer Service held at 7 pm, all in West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND

Funeral Mass:    2 pm Thursday, June 2, 2022, in Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND

Burial:  Mount Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley, ND
