June Beck

   June Beck, 85, of Fargo-Moorhead, died on Monday, November 9, 2020, at Ecumen Evergreens in Moorhead, MN.

   June Gay Bell was born September 15, 1935 in Fresno County, CA, to Ralph and Marie (Byfield) Bell.  She grew up there and attended schools there.

   On November 29, 1957, she married Glen Hans Beck in Fresno, CA, where she stayed at home and raised their three children.  After the children grew up, they moved to Stockton, CA, where June managed a cafeteria for the California Transportation Authority until she retired. In 1996, she and Glen moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area.  Glen died in November, 2006.  June moved to Ecumen Evergreens of Moorhead in 2016, where she received excellent care and enjoyed celebrating her birthday shared with a staff member’s son.

   June and Glen enjoyed square dancing for many years, and June also loved to sew and play the organ.  She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in West Fargo.

   June is survived by her children, David (Karen) Beck of Fargo, Thomas Beck (Ruth Carlson) of Carrington, N.D., and Glenda Edwardson of Fargo; two grandchildren, Christopher and Amanda Edwardson; and a sister, Jan Marie Staples of Las Vegas, NV.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen; a grandson, Timothy Edwardson; a son-in-law, Michael Edwardson; and several siblings-in-law.

   June’s family would like to thank Ecumen Evergreens of Moorhead and Hospice of the Red River Valley for the excellent care she received from them.

   Memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
