Julie Ann Amundson

Julie Amundson was born May 3rd, 1965, in Litchfield Minnesota to Thomas Konietzko and Barbara Olson. She passed away at home with her family at her side on January 30th, 2025, and is survived by her husband Roger Amundson, son Cole, and elder siblings Randy, Todd, Sherri.

She grew up and graduated from high school in Hutchinson Minnesota. This was followed by a brief attendance at NDSU where she met her husband, Roger Amundson. She later graduated from South Central Technical College with an LPN degree. She later married Roger Amundson on May 22nd, 1993, and they had their son Cole Amundson in February 1997.

Her early career included various nursing jobs with OB-GYN, cardiac progressive care, urology, and nephrology until 2017 she received a pancreas transplant due to her difficult to control type I diabetes. Her life was spent in the care of others, the latter half branched into supporting thousands of cats, to find lifelong homes.

She will be dearly missed and will live on in our hearts and loving memories.

A service to remember and celebrate Julie’s life will be held on her birthday Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11:00am at Hope Lutheran Church (3636 25th S.t S., Fargo, ND 58104). Please bring the memories you made with Julie throughout her life.
