Joyce Adams

Joyce Adams of Fargo, ND passed away on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024 at Bethany on University at the age of 95.

Joyce was born in Fargo on July 3, 1929 to Michael and Luella (Schlehr) Williamschen. She graduated from Waubun High School, Mayville State College and Moorhead State College. On April 18, 1953, Joyce married John A. Adams. She taught school in rural North Dakota and followed in Minnesota at Moorhead, Dilworth, Detroit Lakes and Audubon.

During her life, she was active at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Moorhead, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Audubon, MN and at Lutheran Church of the Cross in West Fargo, ND. Joyce enjoyed playing bridge and pinochle along with traveling and reading.

She leaves her family including a son Mike (Lanette) Adams; daughter LuAnn (Mark) Brodshaug; five grandchildren, Tressa (Katie) Adams, Jack (Arika) Brodshaug, Sarah Brodshaug, Alicia (Andrew) Kubas and Katie (Jordan) Bjorhus; five great-grandchildren Trudy, Tilly, Carson, Isaak, and Emery.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, John Adams in 1999 and a brother, John “Jack” Williamschen in 2004.

Memorial Service: Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024 at 10 AM at West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo, ND.

Final Resting Place: Lake Grove Cemetery, rural Waubun, MN.
