Jonathan Brundin

Jonathan Michael Brundin passed away at the age of 25 on Friday April 28, 2023. He was born on September 6, 1997 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Amy Brundin and Marc Dziak. Jon was the first grandchild and was adored and loved by many. His little sister, Lexi, and best friend came along a year and half later.

Jon later moved to Fargo where he met his lifelong best friend Mikey and graduated from Davies High School in 2016. He attended NDSU for a semester, but realized his true passion was installing tile and flooring. He moved back to Grand Forks to work with his Uncle and Grandfather.

He was a talented artist and pottery designer. He also enjoyed hockey, football, drawing and painting with his sister Gracie and spending time fishing at the lake with his mother and grandfather.

Jon was known for his enormous heart and sense of humor. He would give anyone the shirt off his back if he could. After years of struggling with mental illness and addiction Jon is finally at peace.

Jon leaves behind the love of his life, his German shepherd Kodak.

He is survived by his mother Amy Brundin (Bryan Wippler) that love him more than words can express. He will be forever remembered by his sisters Lexi Brundin, Gracie Jenson and Briella Wippler. The apple of his eye and niece Paisley Brundin. His amazing and unconditionally loving grandparents Jon and Joann Brundin. Aunt Kristy (Mitch) Ertelt, Uncle Jamie (Danielle) Brundin. Cousins Chelsea Ertelt, Paige Brundin, Zoe Ertelt, Seth Brundin, Sidney Brundin and Reese Brundin.  His God Parents Kristy Ertelt and Mark Koplin, and by his birth father Marc Dziak.

He also leaves behind too many other family members and friends to list.

He was preceded in death by is great grandmother Rosella Gust and great grandparents Don and Mona Brundin.

Honorary Bearers for his service: Michael Schlanser, Chuck Johnson, Jordan Kracke, Michael Hamalainen, Kyle Ross, Chelsea Ertelt, Paige Brundin, Zoe Ertelt and Seth Brundin.

Visitation:  Friday 2 - 3:30 pm at West Funeral Home, West Fargo.
