Joe Huber, 83, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family.
Joseph Casper Huber was born in 1937, to George and Elizabeth (Keller) Huber, in Devils Lake ND, where he attended school at St Mary’s and Central High. He served in the U.S. Air Force, with most of his tour in Japan. He was married to Geneva Huvidness. They had 4 children. In 1988, he was united in marriage to Kathy Knutson. Joe was an ironworker, working at various locations throughout the United States. During his retirement, he worked for NAPA, Gateway Chev, Corwin and most recently driving school bus for West Fargo.
Joe was a member of: Faith Lutheran Church, VFW Post # 7564, Iron Workers local #512, West Fargo VFW Color Guard and District 13 Democrats. Joe was outspoken and strong-willed, leaving a significant impact on anyone that crossed his path.
Joe is survived by his wife: Kathy; children: Shannon (Jim) Woolf of Thebes IL, Kelly (Robert Huffman) Armentrout of Minnewaukan ND, Sandy Huber of Pendleton, OR, step children, Monica Hogan and Monty Nelson; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; brother: Gary Huber of North Kansas City, MO and a sister: Betty Huber of New Rockford, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Rick; sister: Marie Holtz; brother: Frank Huber and his grandparents.
Funeral services: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Faith Lutheran Church, in West Fargo, ND.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday followed by a 7 p.m. Prayer Service at the West Funeral Home
Burial: at a later date in Our Saviors Lutheran Church Cemetery at rural Thief Lake, MN.
