Obituary
Joann Norma Brooks, 76, of Fargo, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023, in Sanford Medical Center.
Joann Norma Rebhahn was born on September 13, 1946, to Louis and Hazel Rebhahn.
She grew up in various places across the country as her father was a roofer.
Following high school, she married Kenneth Vetren in Fargo, ND. She then married Dennis Brooks in South Dakota.
For over 30 years, she owned and operated a ceramics shop in West Fargo. She also worked at the Harwood Legion, Harwood, ND, for 10 years, and a was a member of the Harwood Legion Auxiliary.
Joann loved attending hockey games, watching races, BINGO, and going to the casino. She also loved her dog, Chaos, and the time spent while her granddaughter lived with her.
Joann is survived by her daughter, Roxanne (Tim) Lemley; two grandchildren, Robert Thiel, and Lexy Lemley; one great-grandchild, Gage Thiel; and her dog, Chaos.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husbands, Kenneth and Dennis.
Service: Monday, June 5, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., in West Funeral Home, West Fargo, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
