JoAnn Larson

JoAnn Larson, 81, West Fargo,ND, passed away on Wednesday, November 15th, 2023,  while under the care of hospice.

JoAnn was born on March 19th,1942 to Arthur Moderow and Helen (Laber) Moderow in Fargo, ND. She married Marvin Larson on February 25, 1963, in Casselton, ND and were blessed with 3 children, Jeff, Mark, and Jim. JoAnn and her family lived in Pilsbury, ND.

After losing Marvin to cancer, JoAnn moved to West Fargo, ND where she met her lifelong companion, Lyle Roesler. JoAnn enjoyed spending time with Lyle, her children, and her grandchildren. 

JoAnn is survived by Lyle Roesler of West Fargo, ND; son Mark (Lisa) Larson, Lake Havasu, Arizona; daughter-in-law, Theresa Larson, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Emily Larson and Ben Larson, Fargo, ND,  Steph (Jaden) Schafer, Bismarck, ND, Chad (Laura) Fleckenstein, Hannover, ND, Cody (Madison) Fleckenstein, Towner, ND, Brittany Larson, Fargo, ND; also two sisters, Marlys Unruh, Moline, IL, and Delores (Tom) Dryburgh, Grand Forks, ND.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Larson; sons, Jeff and Jim Larson; brother, Gerald Moderow; mother, Helen Pietsch; father, Arthur Moderow.

In lieu of flowers, please have memorials sent to Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center or the Sanford Hospice House.

Services:   A graveside memorial service for family will be held at a later date.
