Jerrold Langness

Jerrold Ernest Langness, son of Rev. Ernest and Hazel (Goodman) Langness passed into the arms of Jesus on November 2, 2020, in Fargo ND.

Jerrold was born October 13, 1948 in Kirkland, WA. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Most of his growing up years were spent in Canada, moving to McVille, ND in 1963. He graduated from McVille High school in 1968. He then attended Wahpeton State School of Science. After completing two years of schooling there he went to work for Super Valu at the warehouse in Fargo where he worked for thirty years.

He married Charlene Pommerer on October 19, 1990. They made their home in Fargo. Jerry had two great passions in life – hunting and watching hockey games. He was a lifetime member of NDBA and The Sandhills Archers.

He is survived by his wife Charlene, son Corey (Brenda) Langness, Fargo, two step-granddaughters Kayla (Vance) Christianson and their children Blayke and Russell, Fargo; and Brittny (Randy) Iverson, Cambridge, MN; a brother Erling (Nancy) Langness, Ishpeming, MI; four sisters Ruth Eloise (Paul) Cadieux, Edmonton, AB, Canada, Jeanne (Wayne) Oien, Binford, ND, Elaine (Paul) Eliason, Champion, MI, and Marilyn (Scott) Williams, Portage, MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
