Jere Scott Anderson, 61, of West Fargo, ND, passed away on November 9, 2023. He was born on April 10, 1962.
Jere grew up in Grand Forks, ND, and Page, ND, and attended Red River High School. He furthered his education at the University of North Dakota and East Grand Forks Area Vocational Technical Institute in the automotive/diesel tech program.
Jere had a successful career in mechanics and construction, utilizing his skills to contribute to various projects. He was part of the team that built the Target Supercenter and Alerus Center in Grand Forks. He was on the last fire truck out of East Grand Forks helping the city with the flood fight of 1997. His most recent job was with Glenn’s Body Repair, Inc.
Jere had a passion for outdoor activities and enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycling, boating and skiing. In his youth, he also enjoyed bowling, roller/figure skating, swimming, boy scouts, 4-H, foosball and auto racing. He found joy in spending time with family and friends, creating lasting memories together… like barefoot skiing Banana George Blair style. He was also known to say, “Write the book…”
Jere is survived by his mother Luella Anderson, his siblings Kerri Anderson, C. John Anderson, Sheri Huot, nephews Joshua Huot, Jacob (Caitlin Finn) Huot and great-niece Sage Sliva.
He was preceded in death by his father Curtis J. Anderson and nephew Andrew Huot.
A pending memorial service will be held to celebrate Jere’s life. Details will be announced at a later date through West Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a charity of your choice in Jere’s memory.
