Jeanette “Jean” Carol (Voller) Loehr, 76, Fargo ND died on Tuesday April 15, 2025, at her home in Riverview Assisted Living with her two daughters by her side.
Jeanette was born March 31, 1949, in Bismarck, ND to Michael and Edith Voller. She grew up in Strasburg, ND and spent a lot of her early years with her grandparents Damion and Lucile Wagner while her parents ran the local grocery store. Jean went to school in Strasburg and after high school attended Cosmetology (beauty) school in Minneapolis, MN.
She married Alan “Al” Loehr on June 30, 1973, in Strasburg, ND at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. They made their home in Bismarck where they raised their two daughters. In 2004 they moved to Fargo to be closer to their kids and grandchildren. They were so thrilled to spend the winters in Arizona for 10 years where they enjoyed many good friends and made lasting memories.
Jean loved her family and would have done anything for any of them. She also enjoyed playing bingo, dancing, going for walks, the color red, Elvis, holidays, and painting ceramics in her younger years. Often, she would walk her dog Molly over to her daughter’s house just to say hi and visit with the grandchildren. It was a joke that Molly (the dog) was more of a sister to Lisa and LaRee than a pet as she loved that dog and treated her like a child. Mom’s heart was so big, and she loved the season of Christmas as she enjoyed watching everyone open their presents and seeing the joy on their faces. Jean treasured the time when she was able to take a cruise with her husband, daughter and son-in-law. Her heart and soul were her family up to the very end of her life.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Marc) Archuleta and LaRee (Lee) Faul; grandchildren, Ethan, Anna, and Alex Engebretson; step grandchildren, Austin and Logan Faul and Taylor Archuleta; sisters, Mary (Paul) Patera and Pamela (Rich) Wagner Valdez; and a fur baby, Maddy.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Al; her parents, Mike and Edith Voller; her in-laws, Sam and Beatrice Loehr; her brother-in-law, Gene Loehr; sister-in-law Diane Reando; and a fur baby Molly.
Go in peace our beautiful angel you are loved more than you knew and missed dearly, our lives will never be the same without you!
