Jane Sinner

A. Jane Sinner passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025 at the age of 101. She lived a full and vibrant life.

Addie Jane Beron was born May 19, 1924 in Cayuga, ND to Eugene and Esther Beron. As an only child, she was the apple of her father’s eye. In her teen years her parents used what little money they had to send Addie Jane to Sacred Heart Academy boarding school in Fargo. After high school she went on to St. John’s School of Nursing. Upon graduation she enlisted to serve in WW II as a US Naval Cadet. However, she didn’t get a chance to serve since the War ended before her deployment. Instead she was asked to be Supervisor of the New Born Nursery at St. John’s Hospital. Little did she know how valuable this experience would be!

On November 26, 1947 she married William F. Sinner. Bill and Jane moved to his family farm in Casselton, ND where she became a vital part of everyday farm life. Making meals for farm hands, answering phones and entertaining visitors were all a part of her days. Later a farming partnership was formed with George and Janie Sinner and Jeanne and Ellery Bresnahan. (Sinner Brothers and Bresnahan)

Bill and Jane raised 12 children together. She was a master at running a household of 12 children, with laundry started by 7:00 every morning, three meals on the table (including dessert) and lipstick on for every run to the grocery store!

Jane lost her dear Bill on October 9, 1984 after their 16 year battle with his cancer. At this time she moved from the farm to town where she began a new chapter. In her retirement years, she loved going for walks, meeting with her coffee group, playing cards, learning new technology and making friends wherever she went. Thirty-three grandchildren were added to the family, as well as many great-grandchildren. Through them she continued to grow and stayed young at heart!

Jane is survived by daughter-in-law (Irene Sinner) Casselton, ND; children Mark Sinner, Fargo, ND; Bill Sinner (Cherilyn), Menahga, MN; Stephen Wheat (Mali), Chiang Mai, Thailand; Anne Pyle (Bob), Casselton, ND; Mary K Eustice (Brad), Bloomington, MN; Margie Sinner (Ali), San Juan Capistrano, CA; Barb Wieland (Mark), Park Rapids, MN; Rita Diamanti, McIntosh, SD; Bernie Sinner (Bonnie), Casselton, ND; Monica Goodwin (David), Deerwood, MN; Joan Sinner (Nicholas Petrou), Weymouth, MA; and sister-in-law Janie Sinner, Fargo, ND.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bill, son Dick, Rita’s husband Bill Diamanti and Mark’s wife Cindy Palmer.

The family requests/invites everyone attending her funeral to wear something bright in honor of Jane’s bright spirit and all the bright clothes she loved to wear!

Visitation:  Friday, October 3, 2025 from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Casselton, ND.

Funeral Mass:  Saturday, October 4 at 10:30 AM at St. Leo’s Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior.

Burial:  St. Leo’s Cemetery.
