Jane Pierce, 82, Fargo, ND, formerly of Buffalo, ND passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 at SMP Health – St. Catherine South, Fargo, ND.
Jane Ardith (Schneekloth) Pierce was born June 17, 1943, in Fargo, ND to Albert and Berniece (Weaver) Schneekloth. Jane was the eldest of 5 children, was raised on a farm north of Tower City, ND and attended school in Tower City, ND. She then graduated from Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND and worked at the Fargo Hector Airport.
She met the love of her life, Bob Pierce and they were married in Tower City, ND on October 19, 1962. They managed the family farm north of Tower city where Jane enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, sewing and attending Home Makers. Jane resided there until she moved to Fargo, ND in September 2023.
Jane loved her family and enjoyed family get togethers, card games and watching her children and grandchildren’s sporting events. Any chance she got to travel whether in the US or abroad was a highlight.
Jane’s faith was very important to her. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Tower City where she served on multiple church boards, attended Presbyterian Women’s Groups and was an active member of the Presbytery where she built lifelong friendships. Jane had a love for music and played the organ at the Presbyterian Church for many years. She also taught piano lessons out of her home for several years. Jane had a beautiful voice that she shared with others at many weddings, funerals, and church functions.
Jane will be remembered for her kind heart, music and willingness to help others.
Jane is survived by her children, Jeff (Rebecca Dahl), Fargo, ND, Sheree (Ben) Fletcher, Moorhead, MN, Tim (Julie) Pierce, West Fargo, ND, and Todd (Darla) Pierce, Buffalo, ND; ten grandchildren, Ryan (Janeice) Pierce, Shauntae Centers, Shayla (Adam) Hurt, Reanna (Cory) Schaffer, Seth Fletcher, Kaylee (Dylan) Carlisle, Brandon Pierce, Michael (Amy) Pierce, Matthew Pierce, and Alyssa Pierce; nine great-grandchildren; her sisters, Carol (James) Bistodeau, Blaine, MN and Joanne (Mark) Johnson, Buffalo, ND.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and siblings, Barbara and James.
Jane’s family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at SMP Health – St. Catherine South and HIA Hospice for the care and compassion that was provided to her and her family.
Visitation: Visitation will be held 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.
Funeral: Celebration of Life Service at 2 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026 at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.
Burial: Buffalo Cemetery in the Spring 2026.
