James Morse Obituary

James Lee Morse, age 64 of Fargo, ND passed into the arms of his Lord on January 8, 2024, at Sanford Health surrounded by his family.

James was born September 6, 1959, the son of Frank and Mickie (Schuman) Morse. James was born in Oakes, ND and attended Oakes Public School and High School.

James loved to hunt, fish and camp. He also dabbled in painting art and was quite good. James was a gifted welder and won many awards and a state VICA award for technology/industry excellence in welding. He traveled and lived in many different parts of the country with the majority of time spent in Wyoming, Montana and more recently in Fargo/West Fargo, ND. He spent many years as a welder in the Fargo/Moorhead area.

James had a heart of gold and was often found helping those that were in need.

James is survived by his father Frank (Susan) of Eloy, AZ, his aunt Marge Iverson of Fargo, his sister Tammy (Dave) Akason of West Fargo, his brother David (Merralee) of West Fargo, two beautiful nieces Melissa (Blake) Rosenfeldt and Jessica (Paul) Suess and a great niece and nephew Becca and Gavin Rosenfeldt.

James was preceded in death by his mother Mickie and his grandparents.

James will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Memorials can be donated to the New Life Center or your favorite charity. Memories may be shared and viewed on West Funeral Home website.

A private family memorial will be held in the spring.
