Imogene Viestenz passed away on December 18, 2021 at Villa St. Vincent, Crookston, MN.
Imogene Mae Siegert was born on Dec. 10, 1929 in Trail County North Dakota to Edgar and Nellie Siegert. The Siegerts moved to a farm south of Hunter in 1942. She attended high school in Hunter, ND and graduated in the spring of 1947. She then went on to attend Interstate Business College in Fargo. On March 17, 1951, Imogene married Louis Viestenz of Arthur, ND. They farmed in the area until they moved into Arthur in 1981 when Louis retired. Trinity Lutheran Church in Amenia was an important part of their life and later St. John Lutheran Church in Arthur. She enjoyed family ancestry work and gathered a great deal of family history which she shared with her five daughters.
She is survived by four daughters: Peggy Pueppke, Bulverde, TX; Kathy (Steve) Ross, Crookston, MN; Dr. Karen Rehder, Harmony, PA; and Janet (Dave) Wall, Rochester, MN; son-in-law, Doug Anderson; twelve grandchildren, David Anderson (Brittany), Tammy Jo Taft (Will), Kimberlee Lowry (Mitchell), Laurie Ross (Florian), Amanda Ross (Tim), Ben Ross (Anne), Andrew Rehder (Penny), Matthew Rehder (Emily), Daniel Rehder (Carolyn), Kristen Barnes (Wicky), Eric Wall, Julie Wall, Brittni Vaughn (Blake) (Michael); 17 great-grandchildren, Braden, Jett, Lilianna, Alexis, Wyatt, Makayla, Constantine, Violet, Louis, Judah, Levi, Felix, Carmen, Oswald, Luke, Clara, Issac; and brother-in-law Ed Hafner, Fargo.
Mrs. Viestenz is preceded in death by her husband, Louis; her parents; her daughter, Nancy Anderson; sister, Marjorie Hafner; sons-in-law, David Pueppke & James Adelman; and grandson, Michael Pueppke.
Visitation: Monday, December 20, 2021, from 12:00-2:00 p.m., in West Funeral Home, Casselton.
Prayer Service: Monday, December 20, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in West Funeral Home, Casselton.
Burial: Monday, December 20, 2021, at 3:15 p.m., in Arthur Cemetery, Arthur, N.D.
Memorial Service: Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in St. John Lutheran Church, Arthur, N.D.
