Harold Streifel

 Harold Jerome Streifel,87,West Fargo, ND passed away at his home on March 15th, 2021.

Harold was born on July 12th 1933 to Nicholas and Catherine (Grossman) Streifel in Minnewaukan, ND.   

He was married to Vivian Soggie for 29 years and they had four children. She passed away in 1993.

He worked on a farm for many years. Then he was offered a meat cutting position at NDSU. They then offered him to take over the vending  service for the campus. He enjoyed the social aspect of this job due to the people interaction. He stayed with this until he retired in 1996.He was married to Carolyn Hart for 34 years while residing in West Fargo, ND until she passed away in 2018.

Our dad was a very outgoing and social man. He turned his garage into his mancave with a sliding screen so that he would be connected to whoever was in the neighborhood. He always had an open door policy for anyone that wanted to stop in and discuss Harold's hooch making recipe or to just check in. He loved the company and always tried to lookout for all his neighbors. We would like to thank the neighborhood for having such great compassion and concern for our dad. Our dad also loved gardening so he could grow his tomatoes and make his tomato juice, and grow cucumbers. 

Harold is survived by his four children Darnel (David) Kartes West Fargo, ND, Cindy Munn (Dan Ramsey), Grand Forks, ND, Timothy and Duane Streifel, Fargo, ND. He had 6 grandchildren Teri, Tracy (Aaron), Joseph (Daylin), Amanda (Ryan), James, Nancy; and 8 great-grandchildren Michael, Catherine, Noah, Connor, Mischa, Mila, Ella and Brayden. He had 2 stepdaughters Lois (Leon) Bylund, Moorhead, MN and Ardith (Don) Dubord, West Fargo, ND. He had 3  step grandchildren Jennifer, Kayla and Michael (Morgan) Bylund,  and also had 2 step great-grandchildren Kaia and Ryker Bylund.

He was preceded in death by his parents Nickolas and Catherine Streifel, sisters Helen Bogan and Leona Soggie;  brother George Streifel. and his wives, Vivian & Carolyn.

Funeral Service:   10:30 AM Saturday, March 20, 2021 in West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo, with Visitation held one hour prior to his service.
