Gabriel (Gabe) Paul Scheett, 80, of West Fargo, N.D., passed away on March 23, 2021 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, N.D.
Gabe was born in Devils Lake, N.D. to Ed and Rose Scheett on June 1, 1940. He graduated from Pekin High School. He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1962-1966. Gabe was married to Corky Tintes on June 22, 1963. They moved to West Fargo, N.D. after his discharge from the Air Force. He worked for Westgo Industries and Westfield for many years. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family, and attending his grandchildren's activities.
Gabe is survived by his wife, Corky; his children, Laura (James, deceased) Spicer, Tim Scheett, Jane (Don) Chase, Jennifer (Chad) Thoreson; his grandchildren, Brian (Donna) Spicer, Ashley (Brent) Zacharias, Stephanie (David) Malone, Gabbie Chase, Austin Chase, Brandon Chase, Kasey Chase, Jadon Chase, Hallie Thoreson, Parker Thoreson; great-grandchild, Cam Malone; siblings, Christine Schmidt, Ann Zahradka, Tony Scheett; and many nieces and nephews.
Gabe is preceded in death by his daughter Cathy; son in law Jim; his siblings Barbara, Simon, Francis, Conrad, Edward, and Peter.
Visitation: Friday, March 26, 2021 from 3-5 p.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, West Fargo, with a Prayer Service at 5.
Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, March 27 at 11 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church with visitation one hour prior.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery North, Fargo, N.D.
Gabe’s family encourages all guests to wear West Fargo Packer, Bison, Twins, UCONN, or Vikings attire to honor Gabe’s love of his favorite sports teams.
