It is with profound sorrow and deep gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, mother, friend and colleague, Florence Muraa Albert Jamus, who departed this world on 08/26/2025 in Minnesota-Health Fairview University Minneapolis – Hennepin Minnesota.
Florence was a beacon of grace, wisdom, and resilience. Born in Edele/Loa, in what is now Pageri Payam of Magwi County, Eastern Equatoria State of South Sudan. She dedicated her life to nursing the sick and the elderly, nurturing and educating her sisters’ children, and was passionate about their education as well as well-being. She was profoundly involved in the activities of her community, strong in her faith, and dedicated to family. Her unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds, uplifting the disadvantaged, and preserving the cultural heritage of her community touched countless lives in it.
She will be remembered for her gentle and caring spirit, strong determination, infectious laughter, brightening smiles, and for the legacy she leaves behind in the hearts of all who knew her.
Florence is survived by the orphaned children of her sister, Stella, Emmanuel, Eric, Sekina, and Kidde as well as her siblings Albert Adrakpoku (John Cosmas), Cizarina Angua (Jodriyo) Albert, Opia Florence Albert, Muya Margret Albert, and mourned by cousins, and an extended family of friends, colleagues, and community members who cherished her presence.

A memorial service will be held on September 27, 2025, at Location, Saint Anne & Joachim Catholic Church. 5202 25th Street South Fargo, ND 58104, beginning at 9:00AM Visitation. 10:00 to 11:00AM Funeral Mass. Reception: Location at Harwood Community Centre, 210 Freeland, ND 58042 at 1:00pm to 9:00pm.
All are welcome to join in celebrating her life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Florence’s mentorship project to benefit orphans and other disadvantaged young people, in honor of her lifelong dedication to educating and nurturing needy young people.
