Dwight Lemna

Dwight “Dewey” Matthew Lemna, 49, of Enderlin ND, passed away on Friday, August 23rd, 2024 under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley at home with his family by his side.

Dwight was born October 7th, 1974 in Lisbon ND to Dennis and Rebecca (Warner) Lemna. Dwight grew up on the family farm with his 4 siblings, where he developed his cow milking skills along with his father at the age of 4 years old. Dwight attended school in Enderlin ND. Following school, he held various jobs around Enderlin. Two years after, his son Kevin was born. On June 21, 1997, he met his life partner, Melissa Pfaff ( Mama).  In 1998, they had their first daughter, Bailey. In 2003, they welcomed another daughter, Brooklyn. In 2003, Dwight also started his dream job farming for Lemna Farms. Dwight enjoyed every minute of farming besides “ driving a dumb ‘ol semi.” He also enjoyed Big Iron with the boys. 

In 2013, they had their second son, Bryson. Dwight was so proud to have a little farming buddy to tag along with him. In his free time, you could find them playing tractors with Dwight’s John Deere tractor collection. 

In July 2023, Dwight and Melissa purchased the Enderlin Hardware Hank, just before Dwight was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer. 

Dwight would spend his free time cruising the country side looking at crops, spending time with his family and friends, sitting in his chair with his pups, and watching his favorite tv shows. Dwight was so excited to meet his first grandchild that is due in January 2025. 

He is survived by his Life Partner Melissa Pfaff, Daughter Bailey (Taylor), Daughter Brooklyn (Jared), Son Bryson, Mother Becky Lemna, Sister Rita (Mike) Legler, Sister Dawn (Dean) Torbenson, Sister Molly (Rick) Glarum, Brother Greg (Shari) Lemna, Father In Law David (Pam) Pfaff, Sister In Law Kristen (Bernie), Sister In Law Kathleen (Brian), Brother In Law, David Jr, his special companions Rocky and Murphy, first unborn grandchild and many nieces and nephews. 

Dwight was preceded in death by his father Dennis and Son Kevin Lemna.

Visitation: Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024 from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Enderlin.

Funeral:  Friday, Aug. 30 at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Enderlin with visitation one hour prior.

Burial: Enderlin Cemetery.
