Duane Turchin

Duane Turchin, 50, Casselton, ND died on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.

Duane Paul Turchin was born Feb. 20, 1970 in Fargo, ND to Stanley and Joan (Odegaard) Turchin. He grew up in Casselton and graduated from high school. He worked as a mechanic in the area before starting his own auto repair business in West Fargo known as A to Z auto which he operated for over 20 years.

Duane enjoyed entertaining his family and neighbors by grilling and cooking and hosted an annual 4th of July party. He loved old cars and the “Back to the 50’s” car show in Minneapolis, MN. Duane could often be found helping his friends and customers restore their old cars. He also enjoyed the occasional trip a flea market.

He is survived by his mother, Joan of Casselton; siblings, Jan Lee of Cooperstown, ND, Jennifer (Mike) Fischer of Walker, MN, Tony (Lori) Lee of Fargo, ND and Tim of Casselton, ND; nieces and nephews, Collin (Christy) Kirchoffner, Kayla Jo (fiancé Josh Benson) Kirchoffner, Jessica Lee (Steven Tuttle), Kayla Ann Fischer and Kaitlin Fischer; great-nieces and nephews, Carter, Raylon, Parker, Delaney, Benton and Lilly; and longtime special friend Brenda and her children, Jake, Kristi and Jana.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Private family services will be held with a public service at a later date.

A Public Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 2 PM at Martin's Lutheran Church, 502 Martins Ave. N., Casselton.
