Douglas Lowell Dally, 67, Minneapolis, MN passed away on February 15, 2020 at his home. He was born on January 23, 1963. He graduated from rural Bohnsack Grade School and Hillsboro High School, ND in 1971.
From 1971 – 1973, he attended Mayville State University, ND and later transferred to Moorhead State University, MN and graduated in 1976 with a degree in theatre and dance. While attending North Dakota State University, he earned a master’s degree in Theatre Arts with an emphasis on directing.
Doug studied jazz, folk dance, modern dance, and ballet at Stephens College in Columbia, MO. Doug taught theatre arts in the Minneapolis Public Schools until his retirement in 2014. He was certified massage therapist in the Minneapolis area also.
Doug loved to travel to see friends and family. His other interests include camping, movie nights, dining out and visiting thrift stores to add to his huge collections of movies, music and theatre treasures.
Doug will be remembered for his love of life and his powerful laugh. He touched the hearts of many people from all walks of life. He was a creative and talented person in the performing arts both as a director and choreographer. He will be truly missed.
Doug is preceded in death by his parents Lowell and Eunice (Corcoran) Dally and his sister Cheryl Dally (1954).
Family and friends are saddened by the loss of Doug and would like to let everyone know that services are pending.
