Dorothy Holter

Dorothy (Scrimshaw) Holter, 85, West Fargo ND died on Saturday, April 19, at Sanford Hospice House following a reoccurrence of metastatic breast cancer. She was the 13th of 14 children born December 16, 1939, in Big River, Saskatchewan, Canada to Herbert and Louise Scrimshaw. She married Charles Holter on September 1, 1962, in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. In 1966, they moved to Fargo and to West Fargo in 1972.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; their daughter, Sheryl (Perry) Vogel of Grand Forks; grandchildren, Katie (Ike) Paxton of Fargo, Brittany (Bill) Jorgenson of Oakes, Cody Haugen of Fargo, and Kyle Holter Vogel of Grand Forks; and great-grandchildren Cruz, Isaac, Oaklynn, and Olivia.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Allen; her daughter, Carla; her parents and numerous brothers and sisters.

Celebration of Life Service: Friday, May 9, 2025, at 2 PM, at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND, with visitation one hour before the service.

Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
