Donna Clairmont

Our mother, Donna Marie Clairmont took her last breath Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Sanford Hospice House. She is now pain free.

Donna was born July 6, 1934, at Walhalla, ND to Fred and Julliete Verville.  She was number ten of fourteen children.

Donna married Jack Clairmont in 1953.  They raised five strong and independent children in Bismarck whom she was very proud of.   Donna ensured that her children received a Catholic and college education.

After retiring from MDU, Donna spent her retirement years in Arizona and Nevada and lived the last five years at Eventide-Fargo, surrounded by “very” good friends.

Our Mother enjoyed staying current and connected with her extended family, world and political events and could converse on a wide variety of topics.

She is survived by four of her five children, Michael, wife Janie of Orange, California,  Catherine  husband John of St. Michael, MN, Mary Jo, husband David Hansen of Fargo, ND,  Jayne Clairmont of Edina, MN, daughter-in-law, Paula of San Diego, California;  six of her seven grandsons, Kevin, Jason, Blake, Daniel, Michael, Grant and their families.

Donna was preceded in death by her loving son, Dean and grandson Brandon.

Burial:  at a later date in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Walhalla, ND.
