Donna Bultena

   Donna Mae Bultena passed away in the hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with family and her biological son, Greg, by her side.

   Donna was born in Fargo, ND on June 22, 1936. She lived in Mapleton for eight years before moving to Sioux Falls, SD.   
   She married Luverne Bultena and together they had five children that were placed out of their care. She loved her children dearly and was so sad in November the month they were placed.

   Donna created a life of joy and happiness and with many friends. She was full of determination, liked shopping in thrift stores and always found things that were old but good as new. She loved dolls, puppies, and anything nostalgic. Enjoyed watching Shirley Temple and western movies.

   She loved caring for people and going to BINGO. She loved to dance at the VFW. She loved eating at the Fryn’ Pan and talking on the phone, especially to those important to her. Donna’s favorite time was Christmas with her family. She was a true angel and a gift from God.

   She lost her husband Luverne in 1994.

   She is preceded in death by her parents Agnes and Glenn Akason, biological daughter Cathy, brother Andrew, sister Carol Schuman, brother-in-law Bill Schuman, and sister Janet Czeczok. 

Graveside Service: Monday, August 1, 2022, at 2:30 p.m., in Mapleton Cemetery, Mapleton, North Dakota.
