Donald “Don” Adolph Kensok, 94, passed away on March 16, 2022, at Bethany in Fargo, ND. He was born on November 23, 1927, in Windsor, ND to Adolph and Mary Kensok.
Don grew up in Windsor ND and moved to Chaffee, ND, as a teenager. He attended school at Windsor until 10th grade.
He was self- employed, raising mostly small grains, with his father, brother Duane and uncle Alex until retiring from farming in 1976. He then worked for Cenex in Embden, ND.
Don married Ardella Liebelt in 1949 at St Henry’s Church, Alice, ND. They were happily married for 72 years.
Don was a gentle, kind and patient man who was proud of his Irish and Polish heritage. He enjoyed reading and learning about history and connecting with his extended family. Don was always interested in learning and became proficient in using his computer.
Moving to One Oak Place in Fargo in 2014, Don continued to drive until recently. Family Fare on 25th and Kmart were his favorite places.
Don is survived by his spouse Ardella of Fargo, ND his children Deb (Bob) Schultz, West Fargo, ND, Brenda (Steve) Pickle Cormorant, MN, Connie (Kurt) Blotsky Fargo, ND, Anita (Bob) Radermacher Fargo, ND, Theresa (Dean) Nelson, Portland, ND, Mike (Marsha) Kensok, Fargo, ND, Amy (Mike) McLean, Fargo, ND, Peggy Kensok, Chaffee, ND; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren who admired Grandpa Don. Also his sister Patricia (Chuck) Dimmer, Fargo, ND, brother-in-Law Leroy Liebelt, Yuma, AZ, sisters-in-law Eileen (Liebelt) Haugen, Fargo, ND, and Verna (Liebelt) Martin, Aberdeen, SD.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, sons Dennis Kensok and Kevin Kensok, uncle Alex Kensok, brother Duane Kensok, and sister Donna (Kensok) Ausk.
Visitation: 2 – 4 pm Tuesday, March 22, 2022, in West Funeral Home, West Fargo
Interment: Private Burial Service at St. Leo’s Catholic Cemetery, Casselton.
