Donald Jenson

Donald J. Jenson was born to Donald and Donna (Worman) Jenson on October 3, 1944 in Grand Forks, ND, where he attended St. Mark's Lutheran Church with his family as a child and young man. Don attended school K-12 in Grand Forks, and attended four vocational colleges, last being NDSCS in Wahpeton, studying computer science. Don also watched and learned small electric repair from his father. Donald volunteered for the draft and served in the US Army from 1964-1967 with a tour in Viet Nam. His best friend Morris Guttu taught Don the American Sign Language an art he used all his life.

In 1968 he married Beverly Bangs (Barbara Bundy) and was stepfather to her three sons: James (Andrea) Bangs, Moorhead MN, Martin (Joe) Bangs, Fergus Falls MN, David (Brenda) Bangs, Brookings SD. Together they had two daughters: Kim and Monique "Monica". The couple divorced 1985. He later met and married Ginny Tingle on Jan. 1st, 1993. Don was employed as a welder helping to build Big Otter in Adams Park near Fergus Falls. MN also he built and repaired computers and retired from the Fargo Dome as their IT person.

Don enjoyed working on and making muscle cars. His stepson stated "no one build a better muscle car". He enjoyed woodworking, making furniture for the homes, chapels and also vases for his wife. Don's latest hobby was making and selling bullet pens.

Don is survived by his wife Ginny; children: Kim (Richard) Charter of St. Cloud, MN and Monique (Shane Hulbert) Jenson of Georgetown, MN, a step-son Todd (Marie) Meyer ofFargo and a step-daughter Erin (Chris) Sanchez of Arthur ND; five grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren and five step great grandchildren; sisters: Janice Wukit of Grand Forks and Debra (Harold) Penas, East Grand Forks; and 3 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; a grandchild; aunt; mother in-law and a brother in-law.

Visitation Monday, September 28, 2015 from 1pm to 2pm followed by the Memorial Service at 2pm.
