Dolores Rohde

   Dolores (Bertsch) Rohde, 93, of Fargo, formerly of Leonard, ND, died Thursday, June 9, 2022, at New Perspective Senior Living in West Fargo with family by her side.

   Dolores was born June 15, 1928, in Robinson, ND, to Jacob and Nellie Bertsch and was the big sister to her brother, Junior.   Dolores married the love of her life, Henry (Hank) Rohde on September 22, 1947, in Moorhead, MN.  They were blessed with 3 children: Eric, Mark, and Julie.

   When they were first married, they lived in Pettibone, ND, where Hank worked on the family farm with his dad and brother.  They moved to Leonard, ND in 1958.  Dolores worked at the Villa Maria Nursing Home in Fargo from 1970-1990. 

   Dolores was a member of the Leonard Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary at Leonard.  She enjoyed gardening, baking, quilting and entertaining family and friends.  Dolores was also an avid Minnesota Twins fan, rarely missing, listening or watching every game.

   She is survived by her son:  Eric (Becky), of Plymouth, MN; daughter:  Julie (John) of Fargo, ND; 3 grandchildren:  Paul (Patti) Rohde of Shorewood, WI, Adam of Robbinsdale, MN,  and Lauren of Tucson, AZ; 2 great-grandchildren:  Abigail and Paige.

   She is preceded in death by her parents; husband:  Henry; a son:  Mark, and a brother.

   Memorials are preferred to New Hope Lutheran Church of Leonard, ND, Leonard Lutheran Cemetery or Ethos Hospice.

Visitation:  Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 5 to7 p.m. at the West Funeral Home in West Fargo, ND

Memorial Service:  Friday, June 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the New Hope Lutheran Church in Leonard, ND.

Burial:  Leonard Lutheran Cemetery, rural Leonard, ND.
