Dick Sinner, 75, Casselton, ND passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023 at Sanford Hospital on 23rd in Fargo, ND surrounded by family.
Richard Francis Sinner was born Oct. 2, 1948 in Fargo, ND to William Sr. and Jane (Beron) Sinner. He grew up in Casselton graduating from Central Cass High School. He continued schooling at NDSU and NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND before returning to Casselton to continue farming with his family. He was a partner with Sinner Brothers and Bresnahan from 1971 until his retirement in 2013. Dick married Irene Miller on July 14, 1973. Together they raised their five children, Ryan, Bradley, Cabrini, Kevin and Rebecca.
Dick was very active in the Casselton community and served on numerous boards and committees. He was a passionate giver of his time and talents. He enjoyed visiting with people and playing cards, as well as watching the MN Twins and Green Bay Packers.
Most of all, Dick was all about family. His unwavering support of his kids’ activities and for the last years his grandkids’ activities will be remembered for generations to come.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; five children, Ryan (Joline) of Casselton, Bradley (Shelly) of Casselton, Cabrini (Larry) Koffler of Bismarck, ND, Kevin (Stephanie) of Kindred, ND and Rebecca (Rich) Conley of Maple Grove, MN; grandchildren, Nicholas Martin, Reed and Casey Sinner, Brady, Carly and Catherine Sinner, Nate Koffler, Brock and Briggs Sinner, Genevieve and Quinn Conley; great granddaughter, River Martin; his mother, Jane Sinner; siblings, Mark, William Jr. (Cherilyn), Stephen (Mali), Anne (Robert) Pyle, Mary K (Brad) Eustice, Margaret (Ali Oliai), Barb (Mark) Wieland, Rita Diamanti, Bernie (Bonnie), Monica (David) Goodwin and Joan.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Sr.
Visitation: Friday, Nov. 24, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Casselton.
Funeral: Saturday at 10 AM at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Casselton with visitation one hour prior.
Burial: St. Leo’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Sinner Bresnahan Healthy Kids Initiative, Central Cass Tree House or Community of Care.
