Dianne Patricia Schock

Dianne passed away June 3, 2025, under the care of Hospice House of Sanford after a long battle with Renal Cancer.

Dianne is the daughter of Donald and Ethel Anderson (Lyonais).  She was born 1944 in Brainerd, MN and grew up in Dilworth, MN.  She graduated in 1962 from Dilworth High School.  Dianne married Arloe E. Schock October 23, 1965, at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Dilworth, MN.  They lived in Fargo for a short time before moving to Harwood, ND in 1976. Where they raised their 3 children Lisa, Angela and Christopher.

Dianne was first and foremost a wife and mother.  It wasn’t until their children were much older when she started working outside the home.  She was employed with Palliser Furniture for a short time.  She cleaned houses and was at DeLendrecies and Herberger’s until her retirement.  Following retirement, Arloe and Dianne spent the winter months in Casa Grande, AZ.  It was in Casa Grande that her real talents in sewing flourished as she learned how to quilt.  Dianne also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidery and cardmaking.  Her greatest love was shopping with her friends and sisters to always find that good deal.  Dianne was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and Bible Study.  Dianne had many friends she enjoyed spending time with and would often go on weekend trips for church retreats, quilting retreats or shopping. In 2008, following the death of Arloe, she moved back to Fargo where she lived until she moved to Eventide Assisted Living in November 2024. 

Dianne is survived by her children: Lisa Paintner (Todd), Angela Krause (Kirby Kyllo) and Christopher Schock (Kristi). Grandchildren: Joseph Clower, Liam Clower and Anna Clower, Lucas Krause and Nicholas Krause, Olivia Schock and Gunnar Schock.

Dianne is preceded in death by: Parents Donald and Ethel Anderson, Husband Arloe Schock and sister Roberta Wahl.

A special Thank You goes to Hospice House of Sanford for the great care and compassion they showed during Dianne’s last days here with us.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 10:00am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in West Fargo, ND. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will take place following services, at Oakwood Cemetery in Harwood, ND.
