Delores Hoff

Delores Helen Hoff was born in Mott ND on August 20, 1934, the daughter of Vincent and Madalene (Glasser) Wolf. She was raised on a farm with a lot of love from her parents and brother, Donald.

On November 10, 1953 she married the love of her life, Herman Hoff. They lived in Fargo ND where Herman attended North Dakota State University. Delores baked and sold her delicious homemade pies. Their next move was to Dickinson ND, where they operated a Skelly service station. In 1960 they purchased a farmstead north of Richardton ND where they farmed and ranched. Delores was instrumental in starting and leading a 4-H group. She was an active member in Christian Mothers, Homemakers Club and the American Legion Auxiliary, the latter of which she was a unit president. In 1982 Delores became department head of Women’s Wear at Herberger’s in Dickinson.

In 1998 Herman passed away and Delores moved to Fargo. She joined the Silver Follies, a senior singing/dancing/acting group that entertained in the Fargo-Moorhead area. She also belonged to a Red Hat Society. She was employed by Coldwater Creek for several years.

Delores passed away in the loving arms of Jesus at Bethany Retirement Home in Fargo on November 21, 2024, with family by her side.

Delores is survived by her daughters: Palmyra (Gery) Haag of Minneapolis MN, Gwenn Williams of West Fargo ND, Audrey Schoch of Moorhead MN, Lenora (Joel) Stevenson of Maxbass ND, and Colette (Larry) Bellerud of Fargo ND; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Vincent and Magdalene Wolf, husband Herman Hoff, and brother Donald Wolf of Maple Valley WA.

Preferred memorials are Ethos Hospice in Fargo ND and the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan ND.

Visitation:  Sunday, December 1, 2024, rosary at 5 PM, visitation from 5:30-6:30 PM, sharing of memories at 6:30 PM, at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.

Memorial Service:  Monday, December 2, 2024, at 10:30 AM, at Sts. Anne & Joachim Catholic Church, Fargo, ND, with visitation one hour before the service.

Burial:  Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 1 PM, at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
